Passion Project

Hello and welcome to my super blog to see my passion project!  I'm going to share my baking book! I really enjoyed my passion project and baking my recipes.  I'm also sharing my passion project reflection.

Triple Chocolate Threat
You will need
  • Self-raising Flour 1 ½ Cups
  • Eggs 2
  • Sugar 125 grams
  • Butter 125 grams melted
  • Cocoa 1/2 Cup
  • Milk 1 Cup
  • White and dark chocolate ½ cup each
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 and get out your materials out.
  2. First add the sugar and butter then beat till pale in colour

  1. Secondly sift the flour and Cocoa into the bowl

  1. Make a well with your spoon

  1. Mix in the egg and milk
  2. Pour all the chocolate chips into the bowl and give it all a big stir

  1. Now pour all the mixture into a greased and lined cake tin
  2. Put it into the oven for 45 minutes

  1. The cake will be ready when you can get a clean poke

The Perfect  Vanilla Icing
You will need:
  • Icing sugar
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Vanilla essence
(The amount you use is different depending on how much you want)
To make the perfect icing you need to
  1. Add in the icing sugar, butter and a little bit of water ; mix
  2. Then mix in a tsp of vanilla essence and the food color if you are using some.
  3. Keep adding the water icing and sugar till you have enough to ice your cake with


Big Bang
You will need:
  • Butter softened 100 grams 150
  • Egg 1
  • Self raising flour 1 ½ cups   
  • Brown sugar ½ cup
  • Vanilla essence 1tsp
  • Chocolate bottoms/chips ½ each
How to do it:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 and get out your materials out. Lin a tray.
  2. First add the brown sugar and butter then beat till pale in colour.

  1. Now add self raising flour.

  1. Make a well and slowly mix in the egg and vanilla essence.

  1. Give a stir and add the chocolate chips.
  2. Now for the fun part with a Tps get one scoop of of cookie batter and hide a chocolate bottom inside, then place on the tray. Do this till there is no mixture left.

  1. Now carefully place the tray in the oven and cook for 10-15 min.
  2. The cookies will be ready when they are golden brown.

Vanilla Mini Cakes
ingredients:
  • Self-Flour 1 ½ cups
  • Eggs 1
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Butter 125 grams
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • White chocolate chips ½ cup
How to do it:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 and get out all your materials. Put mini cupcake cases in a mini cupcake tray. Or grease the tray and sprinkle with flour.

  1. Beat together sugar and butter till pale
  2. Now sift in flour and mix, make a well.
  3. Pour and mix in milk, egg and vanilla essence.

  1. Mix in the chocolate chips
  2. Spoon mixture into cupcake trays and place in the oven for approx 10-15 minutes

  1. The cakes will be ready when you can get a clean poke.

Ingredients that are good for Cakes.
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Baking powder
  • Suger
  • Butter
  • Self-raising powder


Ingredients that are good for cookies
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Egg
  • Self raising powder
  • Coco
  • Brown sugar
Ingredients that are good for slice
  • Condensed milk
  • Buter
  • Suger
  • Golden syrup
  • Self-raising powder


Ingredients that are good for icing (Not Chocolate)
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Icing sugar
  • Food coloring
  • Vanilla essence

Tips
  • Make sure to preheat the oven first
  • Measure everything then put them in
  • Read the whole recipe 1-3 times to make it makes sense to you
  • Get out all your ingredients and tools and double cheek you have everything
  • Use a scale for the best result
  • Sift dry ingredients
  • Set a timer
Passion Projects Reflection


Please answer all of the following questions


Describe your passion project. What was your learning in it? What were you trying to produce?
My passion Project was baking. The learning was the new skills and the best way to use the ingredients. In the end I wanted to produce a cock book.


How far did you get with your passion project? What would have helped you to get further?
I got all the way to the end of my passion project, but I could of got further if I didn’t spend forever looking for tips.


What was the most challenging part of your passion project?
Making sure I had the right amount of each ingredient.


What was surprising about your passion project?
It was surprising how far/fast I went and how fun it was.


Did you follow your plan well? Why or why not?
Yes and no, I did follow it well but I had to change it from a presentation to a book.


Which learning muscles did you use the most while you were working on your passion project? How did you use each one?
Absorption and planning. I was always stuck into my book and I planned what I wanted to get done in my head before passion project each day.


Which learning muscles did you find difficult to stretch during passion project time?
Collaboration and managing distractions. Some people around me were making heaps of noise which didn’t help and no one did the same task as me.

If you were allowed to pick a new passion project, what would you choose and why?
Sewing. I saw all the sewing girls and it really looked like fun and a good challenge.


What was your favourite part of passion projects?
Baking my recipes.
